Five Months and Fabulous Food

Last night, Ryan (a junior) was in Homecoming at FCS! So we all got to see that fun ceremony, along with a great basketball game (we blew them out!).

Here's my "baby" brother, looking so handsome!

That night, Sara spent the night with Annie. It was strange to have her gone! I know she had a blast, and she got to go to "Chicka-flay" for breakfast, ha!

Tucker with his morning face... and his teddy bear... that used to be Zack's. Love it.

This afternoon, I got to enjoy a Christmas present that Bob gave Jessica -- a gift card to Shogun to take a friend!! :-) Yuuummmmmmm. Oh my word. That food is so good! Mom and Maggie got to come too :-)

For supper, I got more Asian food -- this time cooked by Annie! We went over for green curry (I'm a spicy wimp though), homemade egg rolls (yummmm), and dumplings (so good). AND THEN we had the most awesome lemon meringue pie you ever even dreamed of, and we ate it so fast I didn't get a picture. There is a picture of AK showing off his muscles and balancing skills though.

Today is also Paisley's 5 month "birthday"! WOW! Almost 6 months old! Cuh-razy. She is still just the happiest, easiest, funnest baby ever. Everyone comments on how pleasant she is. We used to say she was the smiley-est baby we ever saw, but Zack has decided she's the smiley-est person ever. Not much has changed in the last month! She gained another pound (a little over 14 pounds now), and she is about to stretch out of her 3-6 month clothes. Her schedule is basically the same as it was. Not really thinking about solids yet, though I did let her lick a yogurt spoon this last week and she smacked on that for awhile. :-)

Paisley and Tana

Here's one of her papa at the same age. Oh my, they look alike!

Our children are such precious treasures! That was brought home to me this weekend as we heard of the tragic death of a young man in our church, Ethan Hardin. He was a sergeant in the Army and was killed when an IED hit his convoy Friday morning. I can't even fathom the horror and pain his family is going through. Such an awful tragedy. But Ethan is the one to be happy for now -- he is in the presence of Jesus! Give your babies an extra hug tonight. And say a prayer for our military and their families.
